BCB Plans to Sack their Coaching Staff Post-WC 2023

They lost as many as 5 matches out of the 6 games they played. Their solitary win came against Afghanistan in their series opener, where they restricted the opposition to 156 runs. They chased the target within 35 overs by having a clinical performance in all 3 departments.
What then followed was different from what they expected in this massive campaign!
The Reason For Bangladesh’s Poor Run Of Form!
They took part in this World Cup campaign with lots of high hopes, with senior pros back in the main side after various injuries and ending their resting period. They showed the intent in the first game, and from thereon, their gameplay dipped considerably.

Players were well short of confidence and lost 5 matches on the trot, which left their World Cup dreams shattered and hanging them still by a thread. That being said, they need to wait for the results of other teams in their favor to book a berth in the playoffs, but that feels like a far-fetched aspiration by looking at the current scenario.
Even their skipper (Shakib) has legitimately admitted in a press conference after having a humiliating defeat against the associate nation Netherlands, “Undoubtedly, this is one of our worst performances in the recent past.”.

He added, “I genuinely didn’t have a legit solution on how we are playing at the moment & I don’t want to blame any specific person for that. But one thing is for sure, we are a better team than our recent performance, and our entire dressing room would agree on this fact.”
But the fans of Bangala Tigers are feeling that the “Tamim-Shakib Fiasco,” where the former left the ODI setup midway before the start of ICC WC 2023, has impacted them in big ways. Shakib also says, “Well, it could be, but I don’t know what’s in everyone’s mind!”
How did BCB react to the performance of the Bangladesh Team?
With the killer punch from the Dutch in their previous fixture, the Bangladeshi cricketers are facing the heat both on & off the field. Nazmul Hasan – the president of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), iterated – “I think they’re mentally low in confidence & you can do nothing in this regard. Since we are in the middle of the World Cup campaign, we can’t make any changes. We have 3 games ahead of us & we don’t have any choice but to perform better in those remaining fixtures. All we can do is instill in them the much-needed confidence & provide that self-belief to end the World Cup on a high note.”

On the other hand, BCB is planning to inject some mandatory changes to their coaching staff group by removing a few after this ICC Men’s World Cup 2023, as per the insider source of BCB. The board is not willing to further extend the contracts of the bowling coach (Alan Donald), spin coach (Rangana Hearath), and fielding coach (Shane McDermott). At the same time, the team analyst Shrinivas Chandrasekaran is quitting his role post-WC due to some personal reasons.
Jeetbuzznews cricket news site understands that the positions of head coach Chandika Hathurusingha & assistant coach Nick Pothas aren’t under threat as they linked with the squad only a few months ago leading up to this massive tournament.
The Bangladesh pace spearhead – Taskin Ahmed, has thrown some light on this matter in the latest media event, “None of the coaches have suppressed us, and all of them have a certain time limit. Sometimes, it gets extended & sometimes it’s not!”
